Stephanie R. Thomas, Ph.D.
Stephanie R. Thomas, Ph.D., is the founder and CEO of Thomas Econometrics. She specializes in applied statistics and mathematical economics. Since 1999, Stephanie has provided consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, major law firms, and federal and state government agencies such as the Department of Justice and the FBI. She has testified as an economic and statistical expert in mediation, arbitration, and in federal and state courts throughout the United States.
Regarded as one of the leading experts on the analysis of equal employment issues, Stephanie is a noted authority on compensation gender equity, the quantitative analysis of discrimination, and the mathematical examination of employment practices in the workplace. She has extensive experience in the statistical analysis of gender, race and age discrimination claims with respect to compensation, hiring, promotion, termination and other employment practices.
Stephanie has authored several papers published in professional journals and regularly speaks to legal and industry groups on litigation avoidance, the use of statistics in litigation, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action compliance issues, and the statistical analysis of employment decisions. She is also the author of the book Statistical Analysis of Adverse Impact: A Practitioner’s Guide. Stephanie has been invited to address various chapters of the National Industry Liaison Group, Society for Human Resources Management, and Bar Associations across the country.
In 2012, Stephanie was named #5 on HR Examiner’s list of Top 25 Digital Influencers: The Pulse of HR. She was also named among the Top 25 Voices in Employment Law by HR Examiner.
Gabrielle Erway is the Director of Client Services. She is a diversified professioal with experience in Human Resources, Client Services, Marketing and Public Relations. She has a rich background in both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Prior to joining Thomas Econometrics Inc., Gabrielle worked in Fund Development at Catholic Charities of Chemung and Schuyler Counties, and served as a Public Relations Specialist at the Guthrie Research Institute.
